London, April 2022 | In an effort to combat economic crime through enhanced transparency, on 28 February 2022 the U.K. Government published the Corporate Transparency and Register Reform White Paper. Among others, overseas entities will no longer be allowed to serve as corporate directors of U.K. companies; only U.K. entities with legal personality will be allowed, if they meet certain requirements.
