Classic Edition 2008 – Eerens, Blondell and van den Brempt.
The operas of the Italien grandmasters are to be found in the basic repertoire of every singer and opera house – but their chamber music is far less known. This recording tells a story that begins with Rossini, then recounts Bellini and continues with Verdi and Tosti before closing with Puccini.
The soprano Ilse Eerens studied at the Lemmens Instituut in Leuven, at the Opera Academy of Amsterdam and the Hague.
The tenor Thomas Blondelle studied singing with Catherine Vandevelde and musicology at Leuven University. He regularly gives song recitals and also composes music.
Kim Van den Brempt studied to be a pianist in Brussels, Antwerp, Paris and London. He specialised above all in contemporary music and in Lieder accompaniment.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
