Russia, 10 June 2021 | Doing business in Russia does not have to be a „Russian roulette“. The investment climate has improved significantly in recent years. Russia occupies a relatively good 28th place in the World Bank’s Doing Business Report. Around 4,000 German companies are operating successfully in Russia. An important prerequisite for this is to know the legal and tax framework.

Speakers:

Thomas Brand is a lawyer and Managing Partner at the German-Russian law firm Brand & Partner in Moscow (www.bbpartners.ru). He has been representing mainly German and Austrian investors in their business dealings in Russia for over 20 years. The firm’s focus is on Russian commercial law and litigation. Brand & Partner is a partner law firm of the Alliuris Group (www.alliuris.org).

Valeria Khmelevskaya is a lawyer and tax advisor at Brand & Partner. She is Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce Abroad (AHK) and also heads the Committee for Tax and Accounting there.
